In a case of "Glasgow Belongs to Me" turing the tables, it appears that the Uncle of Disney's most famous fowl is Scottish, and more exactly Glaswegian

Well, the book that they claim as evidence was written by Don Rosa. But since Scrooge McDuck was created by Carl Barks, only Barks can say where Scrooge comes from. If Rosa got his fact from a Barks story, then that story should be named, not Rosa's book.

Unfortunately, Barks passed away in 2000 (at the age of 99), so he can't be asked.
