| Posted: | | | | Hi Guys,
This time the professor dropped by & using cocoa nut shells, built & was able to get your 10 favorite (all time) 1/2 hour sit. coms. The professor got for me the following:
1. "All in the Family" way ahead of its time, right meathead
2. "Malcolm in the Middle" The mother is great Jane K..., also FunkyLA reminds me of a character
3. "Cheers"
4. "SOAP" way ahead of its time, openly gay character
5. "Married with Children"
6. "Seinfeld" hard for me to watch now since Kramers recent exploits
7. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" Larry David I like his approach to comedy, explains Seinfeld
8. "Two & 1/2 Men"
9. "M*A*S*H
10. "Three's Company"
Some show the professor could not get included:
Our Miss Brooks, Real McCoys, Dick Van Dike, Mary Tyler Moore, Dobie Gillis, Gilligan's Island, F-Troop, Leave it to Beaver, Donna Reed Show, & many more. The professor explained (way to technical) he did not have 'bandwith' for the other shows.
Anyway what show did the professor get for you?

| Posted: | | | | Hmm... see, this whole "desert island" scenario is a bit annoying. It makes me start thinking in terms of most bang for my buck, rather than favourite show. I may like My Name is Earl better than Cheers, but there's more episodes of Cheers so it would keep me occupied longer. Something which I imagine would be important on a desert island.
Hell, if the limit was only 30 minutes (and not just sitcoms) I think my ten would mostly consist of daytime soap operas. Lots of content there.
But, top 10 desert island sitcoms...
Simpsons Seinfeld Cheers Frasier Married with Children South Park M*A*S*H* Happy Days Friends Home Improvement
I tried to keep somewhat of a balance between favourite and long-running. A list of top 10 favourite shows would still be very different. Would probably only have half of what's on that list.
