This isn't realy a home theater topic so here I shall post it.

I was wondering if anyone out there had any experience/knowledge of digital camcorders since I am looking to get one for the girlfriend and I.

GF's requirements:
-Wants to video her snakes and other animals
-Needs to be able to edit on PC to post online
-Wants to be able to do low light and/or night filming

Mike's requirements:
-Would love for it to not be too much over $400 (I already bought her Christmas presents and this would probably be for us though she will get the most use of it)
-At least 640x480
-Recording media doesn't matter as long as I can port it to PC for editing in at least mpeg format
-Close to hr record time before having to change out media, etc

Any suggestions/recommendations
