| Posted: | | | | Sorry if this is old news but I thought I should pass it along, but Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse is finally making it's way to DVD with a commentary by Coppola to boot (this should be very interesting), anyways here is the the article from DVDactive: http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/hearts-of-darkness.html aramount Home Entertainment has announced Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse which is an engrossing, unwavering look back at Francis Ford Coppola’s chaotic, catastrophe-plagued Vietnam production, Apocalypse Now. The feature length documentary (1 Hr. 35 Min. 55 Sec) was released theatrically in 1991, and will be available to own from the 20th November. Extra material will include a commentary by Francis and Eleanor Coppola, a CODA: Thirty Years Later follow-up documentary, and a Eleanor Coppola introduces CODA: Thirty Years Later feature. We've attached the official artwork below:: Also, interesting to note, is that the director of the documentary, George Hickenlooper, was not even aware of the dvd release until surfing the net and finding out the same as the rest of us, he has some comments here, http://hollywood-elsewhere.com/archives/2007/10/hearts_of_darkn.php username: Hickenlooper | | | DVD Profiler user since October 1, 2004 | | | Last edited: by deadman36g |

Agree 100%, I believe all documentary's based on a specific film should be included on the film's DVD (especially if the DVD touts itself as Complete) I think there may have been some legal stuff that prevented this from being included at that time though, but to be honest I am anticipating this more (if it is indeed unedited) than I was the complete dossier. | | | DVD Profiler user since October 1, 2004 |

| Posted: | | | | I've been eagerly awaiting Hearts, too. When it aired on cable several years ago, I saw parts of it but not the whole film front to back. (Don't know why I didn't tape it, though.)
It would have been nice if it were included in The Complete Dossier (which I just got a couple of weeks ago) but a separate release is better than nothing. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges?
