Most seem to be XML & Temp files. A few exe files.
I was wondering is it safe to delete these files? Is it safe to delete all of them at once or should I do them one at a time? Does the date affect whether or not it's safe to delete the file.
Right now everything on my computer is running fine, but I would like to clear up some space on the hard-drive. So I was wondering if these files can be safely deleted without making the computer run weird or not at all.

in my experience under normal conditions, it's safe to delete the temp files and the files in the temp-folder(s). You could put the files in a zip-file for a while. When you do not experinece any problems, it should be safe to delete this.
Some files cannot be deleted when Windows is running.

| | Posted: | | | | As kahless said it is normally perfectly ok. But there will always be files that are currently not deleteable because they are in use by running programs.
It's best to close all running programs before attempting to delete the files. But there will still be undeleteable files. Unmark them and delete the rest or use the command line to do the job. | | | Karsten

| | Posted: | | | | I concur with Tom. I often go in there and highlight everything and hit the DEL key. If it can't delete something, I hold down the CTRL key and click it - typically the top file - to remove it's highlight and hit the DEL key again. |

If so, Then you have all the Temp files exposed and also that is why it is called Temporary,, ( or tem-por-ary. . I sound like Ray Barone)..  any .exe files that are/were lurking in this folder may be a second backup. Downloaded files should always be sequestered to either your Desktop or My Documents. Regardless. One thing to do if you feel a little bit uneasy is to leave them in your 'recycle bin' for a few hours or more to see if you have a problem with a particular program, if so ,you can then view the recycle bin and restore that one file back to where it came from. | | Posted: | | | | Install programs tend to leave their installation programs in the Temp directory. I make it a rule to go in and change the temp directory to C:\Temp on every computer I use to make it easier to locate and purge.
Few months ago, I had 2.4 GB of stuff in there.... |
