In another thread, a potential customer's query caused me to have a look at the record at Download.com. I noticed a couple of things.

Firstly, the site hides reviews for earlier versions. As version updates (so far) have only been minor, that means that valuable information is lost. I very much doubt that this is configurable by Invelos (i.e. it doesn't allow distinctions between minor and major version upgrades), so that makes reviews of specific version releases that much more important.

Secondly, I noticed a minor curiosity. If I hover over the program name in the search results, the summary window shows the price in pounds instead of dollars:

On the details screen, it shows correctly as a dollar price, but the summary suggests the actual price is roughly twice that!

Is this peculiar to me or  do others see it?

Stuart
This is a sig... ... ... yay...

Don't understand? Maybe DVDProfilerWiki.org does!

Just check and for me the price is 29.95$ (don't say if it's canadian or american), probably a regional setting.

DariusKyrak is from England = price in Pound
Mithi is from Germarny = price in Euro
Me I'm from Canada = price in Dollar

But if the price stay the same it's a problem from download.com.

Just check at this item price and if it give you the same one, but with another curency the problem is there :  Alcohol 120% 1.9.5.4212 (just below DVD Profiler) the price on my side is 55$

It says £55 for me. However the actual download page shows the correct currency symbol.

On many sites the server will do the regional formatting based on a culture created from the highest prioritzed language in your browser settings - so if your browsers are configured with different languages it would explain it.

Firefox is in Dutch language and MSIE English funny right.
Probably has nothing to do with the proxy. And the OS probably determines the regional settings.
