| Posted: | | | | Every week it seems Best Buy, Target, and Circuit City are in a battle to have the coolest store exclusive version of the hot DVD flavor of the week.
This week it's "The Bourne Ultimatum".
Best Buy: Limited Edition Steelbook (extra DVD disc with another 40 minutes of bonus stuff) Target: Special Edition (Blackbriar Files with photos and background details on film characters [I'm assuming it's like a minature manella file folder with stuff in it, like the Memento SE])
So now I'm torn. I'm always a sucker for these type of releases. If only there was a release with a combination of these.. sigh. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

The little folder of intel would be neat, but those Steelbooks are really nice. I still can't help but be tempted to get the Target one also and put the folder in the Steelbook and give/sell the extra copy to someone.. hmmm.. that might be an idea. By the way, there's probably lots of place to find out about these type of deals, but the Weekly Roundup in the DVDFile forums is pretty thorough (even breaking down prices between all the stores). I always check there when something big is coming out. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

krik Ditto on the arrow, but I'll probably miss this tin as I'm going to Vegas at noon, which means leaving at 9am to get through the freezing rain that's coming tomorrow morning. I just hope the plane leaves on time, I need to see some sun! I'm in SE Michigan, and there's been roughly 6 hours of total sunshine over the last month. Then again, I could still buy the Live Free or Die Hard tin the folloowing week ($5 more, but still available. All other tins like Departed and Grindhouse films have been gone by Wed.) Not sure how hot Bourne really is. |

| Posted: | | | | I think I am just going to grab the high definition version, not sure if it is HD DVD or Blu-ray which means no bundle for me. I do know what you mean though. I now have two copies of Hellboy Blood and Iron because this past weekend I saw it at Best Buy with an exclusive figure.
Now, of the two exclusives you mentioned, I would go steel book. I had the same struggle with Transformers. | | | Schultzy - http://www.michaelschultz.net grenactics - The art of skillfully fraggin one’s opponent with the use of grenades or other compact explosive devices that are thrown by hand or projected. |

| Posted: | | | | It's easy for me. I usually try to wait and pick the movie up used. Saves me a ton of money.
I'm really in this for the movies, not the DVD itself or the packaging. Only in very rare cases do I even care about the extras. So, as long as it's widescreen, I'm usually happy. |

Just don't tell any one but I too am in it for the movie not the packageing or the features.
