| Posted: | | | | I'm not a fan of traditional Christmas movies myself. My favourites are Trading Places, Die Hard and Lethal Weapon. Other good ones are Gremlins, Long Kiss Goodnight and The Holiday. Although that last one is borderline traditional. KM | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! | Posted: | | | | You mentioned in another thread that I'm missing out by not having some of the older movies in my collection. Now there's some older movies I want! |

| Posted: | | | | Man, I just can't get enough of Chevy Chase in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!!! I usually begin watching it around Thanksgiving and that begins my festive holiday season. I think I will pop it in tonight!!! Second place probably goes to A Christmas Story with Home Alone and It's a Wonderful Life tied for third. | | | My Collection!!! |

| Posted: | | | | I prefer traditional classic films myself. Of those available to vote on, I voted for It's a Wonderful Life.
In my opinion, the 1938 version of A Chrsitmas Carol is superior to the others. Watch it if you get a chance. | | | Last edited: by Telecine |

| Posted: | | | | "A Christmas Story" gets my vote. I own the DVD, but it doesn't matter. TBS starts their 24 hour marathon at 8pm on Dec 24th. This will be on every TV in the house during that time period, it's just a tradition that must be upheld.
"You'll shoot your eye out, kid!"
-edit- Looking at the poll again.. I will say "Scrooged" (1988 Bill Murray comedy) comes in a very close second. It's a very funny yet moving comedy about Christmas and unlike "A Christmas Story".. it always brings a tear to my eye at the end. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams | | | Last edited: by Vega |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting DJ Doena: Quote: Groundhog day isn't a christmas movie Not exactly, no. But it fits in there. I guess if all the movies that relate to Christmas would have been on the Poll (Like Tim Burton's " Nightmare before Christmas") the list woul have taken no end. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! | Posted: | | | | No Holiday Inn (Musical 1942)? For shame. Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, the music of Irving Berlin (its where White Christmas was first sung by Bing). That would be my pick. And what about Scrooge (AKA A Christmas Carol in North America) with the great Alistair Sim from 1951? The absolute greatest adaptation of Charles Dickens' Christmas classic. | | | Last edited: by bob9000 |

| Posted: | | | | I voted for Scrooged under heavy protest. My favorite film of all times is not there! How could you forget Tim Burton's Nightmare before Christmas | | | With every passing hour our solar system comes forty-three thousand miles closer to globular cluster M13 in the constellation Hercules, and still there are some misfits who continue to insist that there is no such thing as progress. |
