Each year, on Christmas Day, his column is a quiz. A lovely, vexing quiz, which, if you cheat by using Google or other search engines or the Wikipedia, becomes easier (not easy) to solve. He publishes the not always agreed upon answers the day after Christmas. This year's quiz has a few TV & film references, so those questions ought to be easy for the DVD buffs here. He begins his quiz explaining why a quiz on this day is delightful: Quote: It is a challenging time of year. If you celebrate Christmas, you have to deal with all the confusing rituals and interesting family dynamics and, most probably, retail goods of dubious utility. If you don't celebrate Christmas, you have to wrestle with your resentments while pretending that everything is fine, thank you, fine. In either event, you're going to need a nice Xmas Quiz to tide you over, and lo, we have one. There comes a point in my Christmas Day when the presents under the three are opened (except the ones of visitors and visits to come), the early meal has been devoured, and I still have time before I must prepare myself for the visitors and the visit to my in-law's farm. That's when this quiz becomes a mental/emotional saving grace. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.
