Movies greatest escapes from stupid materia...

First on my list is this:

Esacpe from tunnelflames in Independence day, Didn't the flames see the open door at all?
Or is Hollywood not able to kill children and animals once they have got a name?

Not that happy with the screensshots but you get the picture...

Even if somehow the flames didn't get inside, there would've been no oxygen left in the little room with the raging fire sweeping through the tunnel. Either lack of oxygen, or excessive smoke, would've killed all them, including the dog who would've singed at least.

I'll try to come up one that rivals this, but try to put these ludicrous moments behind me or I wouldn't be able to enjoy hardly any movies.

I'm sure I could pull out Armegeddon or Volcano and find something, but had a NY resolution not to torture myself. I'll have to wait until I'm in the mood for the dose of cheese this will require.

Doh. You stole the one I wanted to use
It was hilarious that car in Dante's Peak could drive through the molten lava.
Luckily I don't have any of these movies, so I don't have to torture myself by looking for screenshots. (Volcano was good entertainment though)

Have not seen this movie, but did they have a name on the dog??  Then I am Shocked...
Can't be a family dog then, and no children involved.

Not that I'm defending it...but if you read the book, it mentions that there is an air vent in the room that supplied them with 'cool, fresh' air

Also, please try to refrain (or at least warn) for spoilers of movies still in the theater
