I'm replacing all my VHS-movies into DVD's, and I have many favourites that are'nt on DVD yet  . Unfortunately, I don't think any of these will carry much weight with the studios... Looking at those pages, I just noticed the African Queen has not been released to DVD. Does anyone know why or if there are plans to make a release? |

Afaik there is a French release of this one, 2-Disc including lots of bonus, good picture, english audio and subs. I don't own it (yet) but it seems to be the way to go Thanks hydr0x. |

| | Posted: | | | | You can get the Scandinavian release of African Queen very cheap here: http://www.axelmusic.dk/productDetails/5709624011304 (there's an english flag in the upper right corner for english language) It's region free but you need to be PAL compatible. I don't know if there are forced subs but I own it so I can check when I get home if anyone are interested. That's one of my favourites and you can't buy it anywere. I recorded it from TV once. I'd really want it on DVD, so a few years back I contacted the director of the movie by e-mail about this wish, and he replied! He said he was going to look in to it. But then I never heard from him again  . Maybe it's time to e-mail a few people about DVD-requests  ... You never know.
