I just managed to catch a view of the "Colour of Magic" too. The UK produces some excellent TV. |

(Well, most of the time... say 89.7%)
I will agree with catheadman though, Brit TV can be the best sometimes (and apologies for anything that transferred over that you don't like - though, why I am saying sorry for something out of my control, other than I pay for it via TV Licence)
I promise not to gloat to much about the good Dr. Who (Welsh written, with a Scottish Dr... hummm what next.... an American Side Kick.... oh yeah... that has happened already) | | | Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen] Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well And to those of you who have disabled viewing of these signature files "hello" (or not) Registered: July 27, 2004 |

I just managed to catch a view of the "Colour of Magic" too. The UK produces some excellent TV. I believe we (the US) will start getting the episodes at the end of the month. April 18th for the Christmas Special and the 25th for the new season. So we'll only be 2 episodes behind. Also, the Sci-Fi Channel is going to be airing "The Sarah Jane Adventures" as well (though no date on that). |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Synner_man - even better news. I've followed the good Dr since the first episode with William Hartnell and am so impressed with the new series.
I was in the UK last week and was so annoyed I missed the new series by a week or so! |

Jack ... well the actor is Scottish and the character is from the 51st Century when I doubt there will still be anything defined as the USA so not sure why you think he's American The closest US companion was Peri who was supposed to be American but the actress was born in Guilford and the accent was... The closest US companion was Peri who was supposed to be American but the actress was born in Guilford and the accent was... "not particularly accurate" But Captain Jack is called an American in the show. Plus, Barrowman may have been born in Scotland, but he was raised from age 8 in the US. |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you Voltaire, you are quite correct, though, I believe John Barrowman is (was?) a US Citizen (recall he had problems working in UK when he first worked for the BBC) And, synner_man, thank you.. During the new episode of "Battlestar Galactica", they played a commercial for "The Sarah Jane Adventures". It starts next Friday, April 11th. (For those who don't know, TSJA is another Doctor Who spinoff, featuring his old companion from the 4th and 5th Doctors.) |
