| Posted: | | | | Hi. (I hope I am posting this in the right place - I'm new around here, so if not - I hope you'll forgive me.)
My question is this... I know imdb has a page on some movies for "Alternative Versions" - which I've never really liked ... but does anyone know of any other websites where they discuss differences between the various versions of films (like what's included in the Director's Cut that wasn't in the Theatrical Release) etc...?
I'm sure there's another movie-buff here somewhere who knows of one...?
Thanks! | | | Watching the world, one DVD at a time... |

| Posted: | | | | Howdy Pauls42... and thanks for the reply. That looks like a fairly good site that I will have to look more into when I have a bit more time. While it does contain some basic information about the different versions - I didn't see what I was looking for. (Perhaps I should have been more specific in my original question.)
What I am looking for is information along the lines of which scenes were added/deleted/changed between theatrical and Director's Cut/Unrated/Whatever versions...
I do appreciate your response though - that does look like a site I need to re-visit (after dinner. lol) | | | Watching the world, one DVD at a time... |

They don't really take a/v quality into it though, and will give a disc with a sub-par DTS track the nod over one with a better 5.1 For a better technical comparisson, check out www.dvdbeaver.com As for what you're looking for, I don't know of any site dedicated to it but would love to see one. Fan sites have worked for me in the past, along with imdb (good for a bit of info) and some review sites to find differences in cuts of films. I'd say try doing google searches for the films you want to know about, until someone comes along with a better site dedicated to it. |
