I can see what Mikl means, when I first looked at the list the first thing I thought was: "Woah, a whole load of blokes picked these films".
Also, I can only see about 10-15 non-US films in there.

Edit: actually that made me go back and look: no Bergman, no Goddard, no Bertolucci, no Lang, no Murnau?

Out of this list, the top films, in my opinion, that should be in the top are, in no particular order:

83. Schindler's List (1993, Steven Spielberg)
75. Lawrence of Arabia (1962, David Lean)
73. Psycho (1960, Alfred Hitchcock)
69. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975, Milos Forman)
56. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001, Peter Jackson)
09. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977, George Lucas)
01. The Godfather (1972, Francis Ford Coppola)
38. It’s a Wonderful Life (1946, Frank Capra)
19. Once Upon a Time in the West (1968, Sergio Leone)
29. Citizen Kane (1941, Orson Welles)
30. Seven Samurai (1954, Akira Kurosawa)
39. 12 Angry Men (1957, Sidney Lumet)
47. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968, Stanley Kubrick)
33. Raging Bull (1980, Martin Scorsese)

i did not see:

Ben-Her
Wizard of Oz
Sargent York
On the Waterfront
Gone With the Wind
I know there are more that should have made that list, just can't think right now. And sorry about the lack of non-US films, just don't know about them.

some films that made the list, but shouldn't have:

97. Airplane! (1980, Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, Jerry Zucker)
94. Shaun of the Dead (2004, Edgar Wright)
90. The Rock (1996, Michael Bay)
79. The Goonies (1985, Richard Donner)
65. Robocop (1987, Paul Verhoeven)
44. Clerks (1994, Kevin Smith)
48. Memento (2000, Christopher Nolan)
49. Life of Brian (1979, Terry Jones)
46. Ghostbusters (1984, Ivan Reitman)
14. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991, James Cameron)
12. Back to the Future (1985, Robert Zemeckis)

these are really good movies and i like most of them, but in the top 100, not sure about that.

I am very glad I do not subscribe to the DVD Forums.  I don't really think they know what they are talking about.  Some great movies on the list, but more really bad ones.

EDIT: Changed to the correct name, my comment still stands.

this list was chosen by theDVDForums (not DVD Times) - see here

And they asked people on the forums to vote for their top 10 (which I along with many others did).
