| Posted: | | | | Thanks. It was nice if only to see so many Criterion items listed on one page.
I ordered 6 for under $100.
Note that 5 of the 6 were currently out of stock when i checked out, but they'll ship them later. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

I bought the Andromeda complete collection for $74. It said "usually shipps in 1 week". 1 week later they still did not have it. About 3 weeks later I received an email saying I could cancel it or leave it as is and they would ship when thy got more in. I of course left it sitting there. 3 months later I received an email saying it had shipped. The Amazon price at the time it shipped to me was $169.00. My CCard was billed $74.00 Amazon has become my favorite place to shop for DVDs. I've paid for my prime membership many times over. |

Amazon has become my favorite place to shop for DVDs. Mine too. I used to buy 90% of my DVDs from DDD, but their prices have really gone way up relative to Amazon and as long as you're over $25 on an order, shipping is free. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

| Posted: | | | | I had to splurge a little on this one. I knocked off just about every wish list Criterion I had.
I ordered: A Canterbury Tale Cries & Whispers Diary of a Chambermaid Drunken Angel The Fallen Idol The Importance of Being Earnest Playtime Sansho the Bailiff Sawdust & Tinsel When a Woman Descends the Stairs
If Vampyr & High and Low show up in the sale next week I may order those. |

| Posted: | | | | I've been collecting Criterion for a long time. I guess I ought to check and see if I've replaced all my Criterion laser discs.
The best thing I ever got from Criterion is they introduced me to Akira Kurosawa.
I have some 400 profiles dedicated to Criterion and the Eclipse Series, so I guess I better get hopping. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Ineptocracy, You got to love it. | Posted: | | | | Thanks for posting this sale...I've been thinking about getting Thief of Baghdad and Beauty and the Beast for a while now...Has anyone seen these 2? Should I make the final click to blind buy? Or are there others that are better? (the one I'm really hesitating on is Beauty and the Beast, not a huge huge fan of overly dark films, visual wise). Thanks for the help! | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | I've got them both and enjoy them. The thing that really blew me away with Beauty and the Beast was the art direction. Especially when you consider that it was made shortly after WWII and French cinema was just attempting to get re-established. You should consider giving it a try. Its one of the movies that sticks out in my mind, precisely because of the visuals. |

| Posted: | | | | Cool, thanks for the opinion. Haven't been able to find anyone I know who's seen them and at 30+ dollars, it's hard to make a blind buy, but with this sale...much more doable. | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Wow...I ordered from this sale and the two I bought were back ordered...figured I'd have to wait at least a few weeks/month before they got more it and they shipped today! That doesn't happen too often anymore... Sorry, had to share. | | | Lori |
