| Posted: | | | | Home Theater mag has a new product announcement for something called a Groqit that sounds like it would work for making lists portable, and scanning barcodes. It's $95.00
The web site is www.groqit.com.
Has anyone put one of these things through its paces? Does it work?
If it does, its the cheapest thing since a cue cat for reading bar codes, and does it without needing to be plugged into a computer AND it is set up for carying lists around that you can look up when you're at the store.... |

| Posted: | | | | Unbeleivably lame to have an unsecured site taking credit card info. I can't believe a credit card company would allow this -- it would be inviting theft, wouldn't it?
There must be soemthing wrong. |

Thanks for letting us know about the problem. There were a couple pages where the Buy button did not link securely to the store. Those have been corrected. People can also order through Amazon.

| Posted: | | | | I get the feeling most of you here are a lot more organized than I am. Well, that and (from the discussion on how to store DVDs) also more settled on a system you like and don't see a need to change.
I'm thinking this Groqit might be a nifty tool for those like me (and I know I'm not the only one) who have a hard time being organized, and tend to buy duplicates and then get upset about it. Well, I guess that part of the Groqit's functions belongs in the Mobile section.
But hasn't anyone else been tempted to get the thing as a scanner? I just keep putting off doing the data-entry work.
Do you have scanners that you like? |

| Posted: | | | | I've got a very cheap (modified) Cue-cat scanner. Works perfectly. | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. |
