| Posted: | | | | I just wonder how others organize their moviecollection. When we all from before hav lots of DVD's and now we also buy BD's. Do you separate them in order to have lots of shelves with DVD's and other shelves with BD's. It might look better since they not have the same height, but would be difficult to find movies if there's seequel movies. Personally I have them all together, since my movies are organized after the alphabetic system of Profiler. That's what works best for me. How is it with you other collectors? I just have to add I only have 70 BD's so for now I keep all movies together, but I might separate them later, but I have to reoreder some dvd's to bd's to make that work.. oh yes, seequel movies | | | "What's God?" | Posted: | | | | I used to separate them but now they're all together. I do split TV & Film into two sections though. |

| Posted: | | | | I separate them at the moment but mostly because
1) I don't have a Blu-Ray player 2) I need the space on the DVD shelves
Once I start to get a goodly number and expand the shelves I dare say I'll mix them all in so I can keep everything in the correct order. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | I store all mine in collection number order (with collection number on the spine) so I do mix them. (Voted #3, although they're not actually in a pile...) | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | I split mine into TV, Animated TV, Music DVD, and Film - all of which are alphabetised. I technically separate Blu-Ray from DVD, as I own only one Blu-ray (Spider-man 3), which I got free with the purchase of my PS3. It is still sealed and I am currently in two minds whether to sell it or not. This is due to me already owning the Special Edition 2-disc Amazon.co.uk Exclusive on DVD, and not having a HDTV.... yet... To be honest, Blu isn't doing it for me at the moment. I would only purchase Blu-ray when: a) I have a HDTV b) They start to release more tempting exclusive collectable titles. The only titles I've been even remotely interested in buying at present are the Blade Runner Briefcase set and the Sweeney Todd steelbook. This is not to say that every title that has been released on Blu-ray isn't a good film, it's just that I feel that the DVD is more superior in extras, and variety - which is what I buy a title for aswell as for the actual film. I try to steer clear of the Vanilla Edition at all costs, and sadly, this is what I see being released on Blu-ray. When it comes to like for like titles (e.g. Dark City Director's Cut - same release on DVD and Blu-ray), if I had an HDTV then I would buy the Blu, no question. But at present I would rather spend the few pounds that I have saved on not buying the Blu, on another DVD titie! | | | DVD Blu-Ray LastFM | | | Last edited: by bizarre_eye |
