| Posted: | | | | Anyone know if there is a way to make the favourites panel that appears on the left of a explorer window permanently visible (in xp)? By this I mean that when i open a folder the panel is there without me having to hit the favourites button everytime? |

You can also hit Ctrl+Shift+I | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. | Posted: | | | | As far as I know this can't be done. You can have it docked on your desktop: --- in your case: Drag the taskbar back to the bottom of your screen Left Click on your favorites in your taskbar and drag the Favorites work bar of the Taskbar Dock it at the left of your screen (that's all for you) ---
Create a new work bar and fix it on your desktop (dock) Right click on the task bar and select at the top of that window: Work bar (or what ever it is called in English) in that window on the bottom choose new work bar in the browsing window for that new work bar surf to the location of my Favorites: C:\Documents and Settings\Giga Wizard\Favorites Giga Wizard = folder name of your user login for Windows press OK on the Taskbar you should now have a workbar "Favorites" Left Click on it and drag it from the Taskbar to a side of your screen and dock it Now right click on it and select Allways on the foreground.
This is how you could achieve having your favorites allways at hand. They stay fixed on your desktop. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | Posted: | | | | Your idea is a good one Giga, although doing it that way every link opens in a new explorer window. I think I'll just have to put up with it as it is now, thanks to all who posted Edit: had a look at your link xyrano but couldnt see anything that would do it, thanks anyway. | | | Last edited: by MarEll |
