| Posted: | | | | Well its happened. Star Wars is being released again. This time in TWO Boxsets with "new" names. Star Wars: The PREQUEL trilogy and Star Wars: The Trilogy.
No details yet on features are exact composition. Are they going to be the Anamorphic restored Original films in the Prequels or the SE or maybe BOTH? Tune in for more details as they become available, boys and girls.

| Posted: | | | | In my opinion (which means nothing outside my own skin) Lucas has participated in nothing worthwhile creatively since 1989.
All that he has created since then has been worse-than-amateurly-written garbage and repackaging his early successes.
Much like many of our great pop musicians, who peak creatively in their early 20s, Lucas hangs on like an ancient Rolling Stone, grinding out stuff which only reminds us geezers how far the mightly have fallen.

I dont care much about the older ones, ive wanted to get the newer ones. That isnt possible here. They have been sold out for the past few years, and they arent pressing any new ones | | | Last edited: by whispering |

| Posted: | | | | He probably wants to sell them one more time on DVD before he releases them in high def, just as he did with VHS prior to the DVD release.
That said, I don't believe the "prequel trilogy" has seen a box set release before. They have only been available individually. And if Episode I has been remastered (it suffers badly from edge enhancement), it might be worth it to some fans who don't intend to upgrade to HD. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

Sad. Hear, hear. The man may have been talented once but all he's done since the heyday is spin his wheels in the muck he's made of the what could (and should) have been a great legacy. I, for one, have refused to support his greed, since I first caught wind of the latest dreck he's offered. What was wrong with the first Clone Wars animated series? | | | I was wise once; when I was born, I cried - Welsh proverb |
