| Posted: | | | | Doesn't surprise me at all. I've been using the Amazon Unbox video service for a few months now. Anytime something comes up as a free download I grab it. Their goal is to give you a free episode in order to hook you into downloading more episode at 1.99 each (or more). It does have a great feature that I can't take advantage of, downloading directly to your TiVo. Smart move IMO to put this at Imdb. Great marketing department at Amazon |

| Posted: | | | | The free downloads at Amazon.com only works for people residing in the USA.., and Amazon.ca doesn't offer this at all.. Even Television Networks such as ABC or NBC only give their shows away on the Internet, are for USA residents only . Will probably be the same for IMDB .. The only fee stuff we , here in Canada can get for free, is data from sites such as Limewire .... We don't even have HBO in Canada unless we have illegal satellite setups .. ,, If we want to see the new Season of Entourage 5 ( the same week) we can only get it by illegal downloads with certain websites that also download pirated movies.. The pirated theatrical Movies are poor quality., but the NEW Entourage episodes are top notch 'Tivo copies ' .. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. I Shake my head ever day when I hear about the woes of the US . - what with their Weather related disasters -i.e. Major Fires in the SouthWest / Hurricanes pounding the same region, year after year/ 24 months of Election coverages / Housing Bankruptcys / Real estate being downgraded / Fortune 500 'calamities' / Billions spent every month on the Iraq War....../ etc etc .. and all this just means $$$$$$ pouring money into the US economy to prop up their dollar.. Their Dollar goes UP.. the price of OIL comes down, and the Canadian dollar goes into the dumper... Well Good for them ... But Up here in Canada, where we really don't have any major economic disasters at all, and if a little rumor gets circulated that the separatists are threatening to split Quebec from Canada (again),, Our dollar also goes down a few extra cents.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Sky do something similar for subscribers (Satellite)
And VirginMedia (Cable) also provide an on demand service
Only if you are in the UK though (and for sat/cable - are a paying user) | | | Signature?
