| Posted: | | | | Hi out there, just a few thougts concerning different discussions in various threads from the lolcat man IMHO it's a valid argument from all Americans who claim, that a president's election is a local affair only. But: a simple flap of a butterfly may change the world. What I mean is that we all live on the same planet and share the same ressources. You may not believe it, but an election in the Netherlands, Canada, Belgium, France, Germany etc. has a big impact on world economics. Please think global, not local! Only my 2 cents! | | | Thorsten |

We do have a provision in our Constitution which allows people to apply for statehood, if you wish to have a voice in US politics then i suggest... I have not at any time offered my opinion on the state of politics or the their elected officials for any Government in the world. Do I approve of PM Brown, Maybe, maybe not. that si not a question for me to answer, that is a question for the good people of Britain. yet people make suggestions relative to US politics, pardon my French, my Klingon friend, but its not your business. It's fine to think globally, and it's true that whomeve wins this US Presidential election can affect things all around the world. But I don't expect you to pay any more attention to my opinions about how Germany is governed than I pay to your opinions about how the US is run. While we all share this planet, what's good for you may not be good for us. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. [...] While we all share this planet, what's good for you may not be good for us. I totally agree kdh1949! But we all should find a common denominator. What do you think? | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

I totally agree with you Skip. It is your country, it is your right and we don't have anything to say in that. As well as you don't in who or what is being done in our countries, but it still is a local matter. Even though it might have an impact on the world. | | | Jean-Paul |

| Posted: | | | | The problem would be to find a common denominator. In many countries, people accept high taxes as necessary to provide services that I find should not be provided by the government. There are fundamental differences in philosophy of government that stand in the way of finding a common denominator. Someone outside the US considers how our Presidential Elections will affect them. But there's more to it than how the US affects other nations. We have to consider that but also how we are affected at home. Domestic issues are every bit as important to us as international ones -- We have to decide on which leader best represents us in both areas and can't look at just one side of the coin. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges?
