I am a dvdspot refuge, and I felt empty and lost when the site initally closed.  I looked at all of the online and offline options that I had before I went with dvd profiler.  I almost went with some generic program.  I bought a membership with dvd profler with out even relasing that it had online cabablitys, which is a bonus to me.  I love how I can put titles in with out going through an editor.  It seems like even if you do not submite them as a contribution some one finds them in your online  profile and adds them anyway.  I feel this is a great service from the website.  It is cheaper than its free competitor, because they reqire donations to use the site to its best ablity. I learn something new about the program every day.  Is there a way to make a link to my online profile.  The  only thing that I miss about dvdspot is the title count, top lists and the ablity to look at other pepoples collections, but maybe this will be in a future up date.  Thank You dve profiler.

Welcome Aboard !!      ( you're not related to the Coles are you.. ???    just kdding..  !!    )

You can see other peoples collections by one of two ways., The blue icon (hard to describe, round disc held by hand?)  to the right of the date posted gives you the collection to view., ( if posted on line that is), and the other way is put the ID name such as yours Jericko1 - http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/jericko1    or mine .,
http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/widescreenforever  . Top lists is I believe never been considered as it is an area that maybe is not considered relevant .  Don't know about Title count other than the 388,104+  plus titles in the data base available to all .
I'm sure there are a lot of areas you haven't even stumbled across.., so the 30 bucks is going to go a long long long  way.... !!

Thank you very much for welcoming me and the information, it is pretty easy to view collections.  By title count I meant the actual number of titles in your collection.  For The planet Of the Apes is one Dvd, with six titles in it.  I own a lot of box sets and complete TV serise that come as a set.

Seperate all the titles by Disc ID  or Titles by Children of the Box set .:
Planet of the Apes · Beneath the Planet of the Apes · Escape from the Planet of the Apes · Conquest of the Planet of the Apes · Battle for the Planet of the Apes · ..

Jericko:

Your reference to counting needs some explanation. The term usage in the Program is a misnomer. The Program is not counting DVDs but it is counting Profiles. So, in my collection I have a total 6970 PROFILES. The counting procedure is left to you. There are numerous ways to accomplish it based on what YOU want to do; unless you use Collection numbering in relation to location or some such thing. I use a two-fold system that appear to be in exact opposition to each other. I count titles not Boxsets. So, my Boxsets do NOT get a collection #, the individual films within the Boxset DO get a collection number assigned. For TV it is exactly the opposite, I consider a Season set (or anthology set) to be the tile not the Episoeds on the discs, thus the Box gets the collection number and the contents get nothing.

..and don't forget to backup twice.. One to Invelos Online for your titles held by UPC and Disc ID information., and the Other to a flash memory stick, or seperate HD drive other than your C drive., and use that backup if you should ever loose your PC by fire/theft/harddrive crash/virus/ .etc..
That Backup will contain all your personal information and notes as well as loan and watched information put in by you for each title. Even the cost of what you paid for the DVD over what the SRP is can be invaluable for insurance purposes..

Good idea, the only exception I would make to this rule would be I If it si a set of TV serises Such as the complete colections of Sex and The City, Millenium, Twin Peaks or Senfield.  If  the set contains more than one Tv serise that is sold individually.
