| Posted: | | | | The only Dario Argento film that has yet to be officially released on DVD (widescreen and uncut) is coming from MYA Communications on 2/24/2009. They are also releasing Door Into Darkness on 1/27/2009. | | | Corey |

Alle are from Italy. I've heard on other forums that it's a new company spawned from the ashes of NoShame. NoShame were originally supposed to release Door Into Darkness ages ago, before they went out of business earlier this year. This will be the only official DVD release of Four Flies on Grey Velvet thus far, anything else is a bootleg. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | Looking forward to that! I hope they include some details of the legal shenanigans as an extra on the disc. |

It's not on the press release, but that would be nice...even in liner notes or a booklet. Their upcoming release of Door Into Darkness will also include the full-length documentary "Dario Argento - Master of Horror" | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | I was suppose to bought the german dvd next month so it's a good news. But even if the German one is a "bootleg" that doesn't means that the official one will be better, so if you have the German dvd don't sell it yet. We never know, maybe the new official dvd will be cut it would not be the first time that a region 1 dvd would be cut. |

| Posted: | | | | The pre-release ad says "fully uncut" and from what I've heard from other users who know people within Mya Communications, it will indeed be that. The transfer will be from the original negative elements. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | I bought the Ltd Big Box version of the German release a while ago and was very pleased with the transfer (when compared to the VHS copy). Now this version looks even better... I think I may have to double-dip. Even though the German Edition is referred to as a bootleg, I think it fairs pretty well both transfer and packaging wise. | | | DVD Blu-Ray LastFM |

The funny thing is that Argento even vaguely supported the bootleg and sold it in his Profundo Russo store in Rome, or I was told that at least...due to all the legal mess with it being unavailable for so long. | | | Corey |

Yes, I'd heard that too... guess he was getting tired of no studio wanting to clean up the print and release it so was happy even with the 'bootleg'! On a side note Doorway Into Darkness is now available to pre-order from Diabolik DVD. I would link it, but I'm at work, and Diabolik's site is banned for obvious reasons! | | | DVD Blu-Ray LastFM | | | Last edited: by bizarre_eye |
