| Posted: | | | | I'm most likely buying a used projector this week. Its Sanyo PLV-Z4 ("HD Ready"), any tips and tricks? It will be my first projector.
Went to the manufacturers site to check to what distance i can install it (probably to ceiling). Ive read people saying that it makes some noise and you need to get the room compleatly dark, is this true? I'm not too picky with my stuff, so hard to spot which are actual problems...
Also are projectors hard to calibrate? Can i just go with the factory settings, when i get the picture to the right place? |

| Posted: | | | | The only ones I have messed with were the Viewsonic and Dell projectors. Both heve worked out of the box with minimal or no calibration needed. I looked up the stats on your model and it looks like a decent box to be a 3year old...
Good luck |

http://www.theaterthings.com/ I should get a screen with the projector. Da-Lite or something like that. Its going to be infront of a window, so cant use a proper screen. The one i'm getting should be a roller one, and ill mount it to the ceiling. | | | Last edited: by whispering |

| Posted: | | | | I am thinking of getting a projector if I ever buy a house and set up a "theater" of sorts. I hope it works out for you. | | | Schultzy - http://www.michaelschultz.net grenactics - The art of skillfully fraggin one’s opponent with the use of grenades or other compact explosive devices that are thrown by hand or projected. |
