I purchased "The Dark Knight" Blu-Ray from Amazon.com and received this email:

Thank you for purchasing The Dark Knight from Amazon.com. This purchase entitles you to watch The Dark Knight instantly from the Amazon Video On Demand store for free.

Now, why on earth would I want to watch this film on my 19" LCD computer monitor when I have the Hi-Def Blu-Ray to watch on my 42" Plasma?  You'd think they'd at least offer another title that I DIDN'T ALREADY OWN to promote their Video On Demand     .

I agree with the title you do not own part.

However, The Amazon Video On Demand store is integrated into the newer TiVo Software and you can download to your TiVo directly using an existing Amazon account to watch on your TV.

Thanks for the insight Tom. However, I don't own a TiVo. Heck...I don't even have cable or satelite   .

Maybe it's so you don't need to wait for your order to be delivered to your home? We live in an impatient society.

That's true, and I've used it---but it's 480i.  If that.  So yeah, Max does have a point about getting their crappy download when you have a 1080p version coming from them already.

If you paid freight, request a refund . Got mine today. Will watch it in about an hour .

Watched my copy of DARK KNIGHT last night; the Blu-ray looked stunning on my 65" tv and the sound is house-shaking.  I only meant to spot check it, but I got sucked in and saw the whole thing again.

Watched it too. It was Awesome . The Joker (Heath Ledger...God bless his soul) was totally wicked. I don't think anyone will ever be able to fill those shoes again in that role.
