Just a prompt to ask you to support getting DVD Profiler working on the Wine project (Wine Is Not an Emulator) - the Window API compatibility layer.

Myself and some others have been putting some work in over the last couple of years to get DVD Profiler working as well as possible using Wine, but it would really help if those interested in seeing the app working better could vote both for the application and the various outstanding bugs for attention. To do so would require you to create an account for the Wine AppsDB and Wine Bugzilla, but they don't send you any junk.

This is a links to the latest version of DVD Profiler in the Apps Database, where you can vote for the application. The various open bugs are listed at the bottom of the page and can be voted on individually when you click on them for more details.

Thanks

Stuart

You probably won't like this but. Does Ken get anything out of this, I suspect not, if that is correct I would have to vote against it and further i would encourage Ken to remove all references, it is his program after all and it is only fair that he be compensated, Open Source or not. Did you even ask his permission?

The way I understand it, this could only generate more users (read: income) for DVDP/Invelos. In that way, Ken WILL get something out of it. Compare it with having a novel translated in a different language for a new audience, if you like.

I would have thought that it was clear enough form the post, but a quick check of what Wine actually is (link provided) might have told you that this has the potential to GAIN customers. IT IS NOT A COMPETING PRODUCT! Heck, Ken's even helped out directly to improve Wine support!

I really wish you'd pay more head to the saying "ensure brain is engaged before putting our mouth in gear."

A dumbfounded Stuart
