I've been using the beta for a few days and am absolutely loving it. This is what Vista should have been in the 1st place.

Has anyone else been using it, particularly with DVD Pro? If so, any problems so far?

I've been using it for a few weeks without major issues switching from XP. My printer & scanner wont work with it but neither would they have worked with Vista. It certainly seems to play nicely with DVP, at least for me.

Have it installed on a removable HDD for testing purposes, no major problems until now. DVDProfiler is running fine.

In my case, imaged my laptop's boot partition, wiped and installed Win7 32-bit...
Liked it so much have now imaged and wiped XP off main tower and dual-boot 7 with Vista Ultimate    I also find myself using 7 most of the time...like now, for instance.

Entirely agree with Stuart, Vista should have been like this from the start - it is noticeably faster than Vista will ever be, even in beta - the RC should be a cracker and I will definitely be consigning Vista to the bin (or interested friends/family ) come RTM.  I want Ultimate OEM though, which may be expensive and/or troublesome to get a hold of (limited availability, I understand from Microsoft's recent warblings).

I did have an issue with the (Vista) EIDE driver for the JMicron SATA/EIDE chip on my motherboard but as I just upgraded to SATA optical drives that is no longer an issue - I disabled the swine in BIOS and use the Intel AHCI setup

I found that dual-booting didn't give the Vista partition a drive letter but this was soon fixed within Disk Management mmc snapin.

One notable plus is that there is no wiping of Vista's restore points when booting 7 - or vice versa - as the kernels and file systems are very similar (XP would wipe Vista's out if the latter's drive/partition wasn't hidden).

No software issues other than Speedfan which won't run properly - happy to wait for an update however.
DVDP runs without a hitch, though I do keep seperate db's and backups just in case.

I also found it far superior and speedier than Vista - just the 32bit version.

It also is very helpful in trying to locate the unsupported drivers for you, if they are that simple to find 

Am impressed so far, but again agree with others, only worth upgrading from Vista to Windows 7.

I've read in a magazine over here recently that there may be a late buyer upgrade offer. IE those who purchase Vista from July MAY get a cheaper or free upgrade cost to 7.

Edit: That doesn't help in your case though.
