Selecting a group of movies ????

Hi

I have about 500 movies and I want to select (flag) the movies that are 200-299.
Is there a way to do this.  Is there some special flag, filter or load set kind of thing.

I also tryed to use the standard "select then hold shift key down and select the last in the series" but that was no luck.

Help

Tom

Display your profiles in list format, sorted by Contribution number. Use the mouse to select the first one, then press the Space bar on your keyboard, which should flag that profile and move to the next one down.  Keep pressing the space bar till your reach the end of your desired selection range.

There may be more elegant ways but this will get you there.

I thought I'd posted a reply to this one, and was very confused...

...until I realised he's asked this in Technical Support too!

That works but that means I have to space bar 100 times.  Isnt there another way ?

Also if I do as you say, is ther a way to save that selection so I can just use it agin by command or macro etc ?

Check my answer in the Technical Support forum (why did you ask the same thing three times?) for an alternative method.
And yes, once you've got your profiles flagged you can go to Collection-> Flags -> Save Set to save that selection to be reloaded at another time (by using Load Set).

And i just saw your reply in Tech Support and wondered where my message went.      Your solution was more elegant.

@oldwood:

You posted this question in this forum, in this General Discussion forum, in the Tech Support forum, in the Reports forum, and the Layouts Forum.  It isn't very polite to spam 4 forums with the same question.

In the future, if you want people to answer your question, please post it in ONE forum only.  If you don't get an answer in a day or so, pick another.  But PLEASE, don't keep posting the same question multiple times.  When you do, it makes you look like a troll -- and discourages people from trying to answer you.
