| Posted: | | | | I think this is true not only to the total of the electronics industry but just about every other thing else. Cameras, cars, household appliances, etc.
I don't know how many times I decided I like to buy something and after several stores I just gave up.
I had was out driving around the other day and decided to check out new cars and trucks. The last car I bought, SAAB 900 Turbo 3 door, there was only about 4 or 5 colors and one major option that included everything else (Executive package). I added that and in red. I redid the stereo system myself, 12 speakers (dual speaker in the dash, dual mid range in back side panels, tweeters, super tweeters and replaced the panel between the rear deck/seat with a base cabinet) equalizer, 12 CD player. And amps in the spare tire area.
The list of options on todays cars and trucks are almost impossible, I mean if you want this you can't that or what ever. If you want option 151 then you can't have option 445, you have change option 151 to 152 or what ever. Not only that, the same brand and their top model comparable to what bought 20 years ago, costs now more than I paid for my house.
Now working on computers for about 5 decades I'm a button pusher. But there was so many buttons on the steering wheel when the salesman asked if I'd like a test drive it, I was afraid if an emergency situation occurred I'd hit something I shouldn't. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
