| Posted: | | | | For anybody at all interested in the HBO miniseries John Adams, Target has done a price reduction. It's now down to $14.99. Don't know how long this will last, but the shelf sticker was $49.99 for this thing. Not available online. |

| Posted: | | | | Went to the local Target, found the sign, there were two sets left. Grabbed one and a Valentine card, checked out... more than $40. "Excuse me, that had a sign that read the price was $14.99." The checker calls his supervisor, who puts me and the line behind me on hold while she does something else. Five minutes later, she calls the department, calling the DVD set a Blu-ray. While she waits for the section person to search the Blu-ray aisle (opposite the gondola where the set is), she looks through the ad, claiming "It's on sale for $39.99." No, I explain, it's $14.99 nationwide. Finally, she gets the word, and flounces away, discustedly barking at the clerk to give it to me for $14.99.
He apologized.
But I got it! | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

| Posted: | | | | That was a great deal while it lasted! And it wasn't just John Adams, but Band of Brothers was marked down to $19.99 as well. Replacement signs, however, have been issued chain-wide to show the correct price, which is $10 off each (John Adams is $39.99 and Band of Brothers is $49.99, if memory serves me right). Actually, Rome and The Sorpranos had also been mismarked, but not nearly as bad as the other two. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |
