I don't get it, but here it is.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

The other rumor I'm hearing is that this is NOT a bio-pic, but rather some sort of updating of the comedy team.  Kind of like the Bewitched movie.

That's what I hear as well, midnit, they are trying create New Stooges. Not likely. Has anyone ever seen Penn try to do comedy, even though Fine was the straight man of the trio.

I believe that this has bomb written all over it. Nobody can re-do the Three Stooges as much as they try.

I really hope Jim Carry doesn't get the role.  I've grown quite sour of his comedies.

However, his serious roles are top notch.  His serious roles with a touch of comedy are also still nice.

Out of all the Stooges shorts ( well over 180 ).. My 'favourite -favourite' short is "Cash and Carry"..
This was the one where they bought a treasure map of Walla Walla for $62.00 worth of 'Canned Coin', ( Little Jimmy's leg operation money kept in a can in their junk yard home, he needs $500)., ..
and the Stooges have dug a 20 foot pit, in the basement of this old deserted house, .. (right next to the Federal Reserve Bank)., and of course there is the shovel in the head, Pick-ax in the knee, broomhandle to the eyeball.,, etc..,    they Blast through another 'walla walla' & end up inside Bank Vault #3 which,  is just laden with gold bricks, sacks of silver Coins and wads and wads of Cash.

Moe takes a wad of cash , & flips through it, listening to the 'flip'  of the new bills and says:
" Ahhh  just right.. $500 bucks !    The rest is Profit  ! !

I kill myself laughing every time I even think of that scene..

Can the modern heroes of today's cinema ( Penn, and Carrey) pull off the same slapstick.. Maybe for the new kids of today,, but not the old kids from yesteryear...    (Me . ) ..
In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

I haven't seen that one in awhile, but I can still picture it. One of my favorites is A Plumbing We Will Go and its when they are plumbers in this mansion and there is a party going on. They mess up the plumbing so much that water is coming from everywhere and the chef comes out of the kitchen and says, "Dinner has to be called on the count of rain." When I first saw that, I was laughing so hard that I had tears coming from my eyes. My dad had to ask me if I was ok.

That,, is my second favourite episode.. Interesting tidbit about that 1940's short , is the usuage of television ( Niagra Falls and the water shooting out of the screen at the guests).,, probably not seen by many in 1940 , as the 1939 World's Fair first introduced B/W TV to the buying Public.. , .

Needless to say i don't think Sean Penn will be up for any awards for this "epic". Hey do you think Shemp will make an appearance? Maybe Tom Hanks can play him? or how about Mel Gibson? i had heard he was a stooges fan. anyway i would be curious to see this "new" stooge movie if it gets finished. it will probably suck though. that bewitched movie was painful to watch!
