| Posted: | | | | I had that DVD and traded mine in at Amoeba Music here in LA about a month ago along with the Steelbook of Death Proof as well. More recently I traded in my Steelbooks editions of all the Die Hard movies as well. I've been upgrading to Blu-Ray on many of my favorite movies recently. | | | Chris |

| Posted: | | | | Overall, greatest OOP find is Wuthering Heights (026359072925). Currently on Amazon starting at $176. Came into our shop and cost me 3 hours of extra time. Now if we can just get a copy of The Slipper and the Rose ... | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield | | | Last edited: by Danae Cassandra |

| Posted: | | | | My biggest find ever was the complete set of Black Scorpion - The Television Series which I bought new on eBay for $42.99. Amazon is listing it (via marketplace) between $281.26 to $2,499.99. That's freaking insane | | | October 12th, 1985. Tonight, a comedian died in New York. |

| Posted: | | | | I managed to find a copy of the deluxe or special or whatever edition of Meet Joe Black, which movie I haven't watched, because the important thing was that this edition included the original Death Takes a Holiday. That was at a store in California a couple years ago, when I couldn't find it anywhere else.
BTW, if anyone sees a copy of the Disney tin Dr. Syn: The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh, don't hesitate to grab it. It went on sale last November and I believe it was generally gone before the year ended. |

I believe it was billed as the Ultimate Edition. Last I checked, Dr. Syn could still be ordered through the Disney Movie Club, for those that are still looking. | | | Last edited: by mdnitoil |

Last I checked, Dr. Syn could still be ordered through the Disney Movie Club, for those that are still looking. This title and I have a small history as well. A few years back I found a copy at an out-of-the-way mall store that was closing down (the whole mall was closing it turned out). I sat on it for a few months then decided, "I guess I'm not going to watch this, so skip it" and threw it on ebay. That one sold for $70 or so, netting me a nice profit. 2 years later I'm looking around on ebay and someone has a few copies of this up, but insted of crazy prices it was buy-it-now $8.99, with $3 shipping. I risked it (the sellers feedback was low and made it a gamble) but a brand new one came a few days later in the mail. As for finding anything rare and OOP lately..., they closed almost all the used stores in town at just the wrong time. This would be the time to find great things as people sell them off obliviously while going Blu. Of all the Game-Stops in town, only one even has any dvds anymore, and they'rer weeding em out too. I got 2 used record stores left, but those are downtown where parking sucks and hardly anyone goes to sell dvds. Oh yeah, I got FYE in the mall where used discs sometimes cost more than new ones, even ones not OOP. Sad state of affairs here. |

| Posted: | | | | As a blind buy, I recently picked up a used copy of "The Unbelievable Truth", which I understood to be the first movie with Adrienne Shelley (writer/director of Waitress). Cost me $30, which I wouldn't normally have shelled out for a b-movie I'd never heard of before, but I was feeling like blowing too much money that weekend apparently.
I'd classify the disk in excellent condition, with no marks or scratches at all. The cover art and insert are in very good condition as well. The movie itself? I've seen worse, but I've certainly seen better as well. |

1ADam12 out. As much as I hated Bebe's Kids when I saw way back when, I'd give it another try for that price. Seen that thing on ebay lately? You'd think it was Gone with the Wind or Cassablanca getting prices like that for a bare-bones disc. Nice low # on the Supergirl too, congrats on the find. |

| Posted: | | | | Not exactly tought to find, but Borders is running 50% off in an attempt to clear inventory and I found the Burt Lancaster Signature Collection. Since Warner has stopped producing it, I figured I should grab it. |

| Posted: | | | | I saw a used copy of the "unrated" (but released labeled as "PG" then later recalled) version of "Swamp Thing" at FYE this week. But I didn't think a few seconds of Adrianne Barbeau's boobs was worth $26 (at that price, FYE obviously knows it's a collector's item). |
