| Posted: | | | | Another reason to go Blu. I tried all DVDs of aTV series I had not played in about 5 years, and it would not play on a regular DVD player stand-a-lone or in the the PC., I could see nothing visibly wrong with the discs. but it play in both Blu-ray Samsung and Panasonic players. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. | Posted: | | | | It could also mean that the discs from 5 years ago were homemade on burnable DVD's such as DVD+R and a lot of older players cannot playback DVD+R only DVD-R .,, along comes this new fangled Blu-Ray player and 'voila' it can play back those pesky +R discs........ | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. This is typically a result of the laser in the older player being weaker as compared to the newer player. Happens to every player eventually. The average lifespan for the lasers in these home decks is somewhere around 5 years. | | | Last edited: by mdnitoil |
