| Posted: | | | | I found the following article, funnily enough, trying to find a list of unknown sci-fi (I've actually found some real gems previously using this method). The Top 9 Unknown Sci-fi Films to look out for in 2009To catch your attention, for the mainstreamers Bruce Willis turns up, and for the sci-fi buffs, there's a Philip K. Dick adaptation. For those who don't know who Philip K. Dick is: Blade Runner Total Recall Screamers Impostor Minority Report Paycheck A Scanner Darkly Next | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

I will be going to see those. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. | Posted: | | | | I only just noticed there is a subtle mention of a tenth movie in the Top 9 list. That movie is 9. The official site is here. ...and in searching for the trailer for that, I realised the list misses what promises to be an excellent film, and certainly a major oversight in that list, District 9. District 9 is based on the short film by Neill Blomkamp, Alive in Joburg. Alive in Joburg is available on YouTube, or on the Stash 16 DVD. There are multiple 'official' sites for District 9. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

| Posted: | | | | To me, Franklyn looks to be a movie to see at the cinemas. That said, it's out on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on June 22: 5030305512392 5030305512293 (Retail) Barcodes from BVA | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

| Posted: | | | | I have Timecrimes on DVD, and only watched it the other day. What I thought at first would be a predictable time travel yarn, actually turned into a more intelligent mind-bending drama. Very good IMO. | | | DVD Blu-Ray LastFM |
