| Posted: | | | | As a fan and collector of the Disney Classics (not sure if they're called Classics on english) I have all 48 on DVD. And now, as we all know, everything will be released on Blu-ray. So of course I gotta have it on BD. 6 so far, 42 to go..... Why couldn't they invent BD 10 years ago? | | | "What's God?" | Posted: | | | | My laptop computer plays DVDs but not Blu-rays (my daughter's does, but she's in college and doesn't always travel with us). I put my "replaced" DVDs in a binder to take when we go on vacation, for those occasional breaks from being a tourist. Pinocchio is a favorite at times like those. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

| Posted: | | | | We don't know if everything will be released on Blu-ray, but at least the so-called Platinum titles will most likely see a release in the coming years.
Personally, I'm keeping with the DVDs, I have enough new and classic releases to keep up with as it is. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

I'm half planning on skipping BR to keep the patterns going. I had vhs, but not laser (until after dvd). Now I have dvd and don't feel it's old enough to replace. Plus with my dvd collection the thought of replacing everything seems impossible, esp. financially. |

(I have episode I on LD in spesial inport from Japan from erlier, now collecting dust) I also started to collect the Disney on Blu and I must say they are for shure worth the money, better restorations is not often to see, thank you thecnicolor... And as I own almost every title on LD I skipped the DVD on most titles and are eager to buy more. | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |

| Posted: | | | | And might I add that in general all the Disney Blu-Rays are extremely pricey, around $29.99 on average here in the US and you rarely find them discounted!!! | | | My Collection!!! |

Laserdisc predates VHS as a format for commercial movie releases. Blu-ray discounts run about the same as DVD. Sure, they are frequently $29.99 in B & Ms, but DVDs these same places are frequently $25.99. Blu-rays generally have less than a 20% premium and are frequently the same price as the (special edition) DVD for day-and-date releases. | | | Last edited: by Ace_of_Sevens |

| Posted: | | | | I have watched blu ray dvd's and the picture I have to admit is very very good, but so isn't the quality of SD DVD's. I watch everything on a 1080P projector and an upscaling DVD player and I can say that even though the content is upscaled, the picture quality is superb. It just does not seem worth replacing everything with BD to have to do it again when the next format comes out. Quoting bigdaddyhorse: Quote: Quoting Staid S Barr:
