Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Clearwater where Billy's offices were was my home for 35 years, wow, this is surprising. Clearwater has much to say for itself being the headquaters for the Home shopping Channel and home to the very first Hooter's. I am shocked at Billy's death.

Sky Saxon of the great '60s garage band The Seeds died Thursday.
3 for Thursday alone, minimum.
Yes, famous people die. Often. Not in threes. We bunch them in threes, even if it makes no sense.
Farewell to another famous person. Even celebrities die. No one yet has found a way out of it.
I become diminished by the loss of every person. But nothing is permanent; everything is impermanent. We must find joy in the having known, and better yet: in the moment we have now. Yesterday is just a memory; tomorrow is not a promise. Make the best of the instant you have now. It will never return. And it is all we have for certain. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

| Posted: | | | | This one shocked me. The other 3 we all could see coming in one degree or another, maybe not so much Jackson, but he hasn't looked healthy in years so there was no shock, more of a "that sucks". Billy on the other hand looked strong as an ox. Even when being a diva on the Pitchmen show, I never looked at him and thought his days were numbered. Ironically, just last week's episode I was picturing him with a grey beard, looking like Papa Smurf. Sucks we'll never see that, it would've been amusing. R.I.P. Billy. Far too young. |

| Posted: | | | | I saw 2 different infomercials with him last night. Sad news. The news report I read indicated he gave an interview after the plane crash in which he said that something fell from above in the plane and hit him on the head. Later, his wife reported he wasn't feeling well when he went to bed. Seems to me we're going to learn of his death was caused by a subdural hematoma, as was the cause of Natassia Richardson's death. EDIT: I posted the above just in time to be wrong. According to CNN: "TV Pitchman Billy Mays' death appears to be from heart disease, not a bump to the head, according to the coroner." | | | ...James

Wow. I was thinking it was the bump on the head but guess not. |

That's kind of what I was thinking. The others didn't really hit me hard. Heck, Ed Mcmahon had more years than the "average American", so it's hard to feel sad at his loss. But I've been enjoying Billy's Pitchmen show, so this one was shocking and the saddest for me of the week. Thanks to his show with Anthony Sullivan, I'll remember him as a decent guy selling decent products on the off hours on TV instead of that loud, annoying Oxy-clean guy. He'll be missed. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

Wow. I was thinking it was the bump on the head but guess not. Yeah. The piece I read said that the coroner said that there was no evidence of head trauma but plenty of evidence (enlarged left ventricle) of heart disease and hypertension. He didn't feel well, and maybe HE thought it was bacause of the bump to the head, though we'll probably never know what he thought at the end. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges?
