| Posted: | | | | Not a political debate! Someone who holds political office, is a jerk! Are your trying to debate otherwise? Or are you trying to make it a political debate? The text does not assign political party. I find it frightening (regardless of affiliation) that someone like this can get elected.

| Posted: | | | | I guess you missed the debate back when Proposition 8 was on the California ballot. While you find it frightening, there are people that agree with him. We have people from both groups in this forum. This issue has moral, religious and political overtones. As such, it is off-topic in these forums. I am surprised that it hasn't been removed. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | This has nothing to do with California election ballot measures. Maybe some here agree with the Senator, but none here can affect the live of individuals, like this man can. Seems like your trying to expand the Senators meaning. You (no matter how badly you want to) are not the decider, of what flies in this forum. Your remark of surprise, that removal has not occurred, seems like yet another attempt by you to stir up the flames. I'll await your throwing more gasoline on this!

My remark of surprise was exactly that. | Posted: | | | | This is not a political discussion, this is about a misguided individual you for some reason got elected. This Senator is supposed to represent all people from that state, not a subset.
What's your point here Unicus? Either you agree or disagree with the Senator from Pennsylvania.
Should Mr. Eichelberger be a 'auto mechanic' or a 'politician' he's someone I DO NOT LIKE. I believe it's fair to point out (to the community) that a person in POWER voices this kind of behavior.
Furthermore, Unicus! I believe you will argue, to the point until total exhaustion occurs, & then you can claim victory, last man to post wins. You exhibit that you can't lose, it's okay to be wrong.
The only question is do you want to side with the Senator from Pennsylvania, or not?

Everything you just said can be said about any position that a politician takes that not everyone in his/her state agrees with. "Misguided" is a value judgement. Well the questioon still stands, & (i've made my opinion public), & The judges are still out, as to whether, a ban should be imposed. Are you & Unicus so CLOSE that you speak for him? Or perhaps you just see things more clearly than others Quote: Not liking an elected official is a political judgment. Pointing it out to the community is political. Wrong Amigo! Not liking this individual is my opinion. Pointing it out to the community; states my view, (anyone out there agree with me) this politican is a jerk? | Posted: | | | | 1. Eichelberger is scum. And I feel bad insulting the pond scum.
2. However, I believe political topics of any sort were banned, because they have inevitably caused a lot of disagreement and very bad vibes around the forum, so Unicus and James are right to point out that posting a political topic is not for this forum - and that doesn't mean that they agree or disagree with Eichelberger. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

If writing that you feel "... this politician is a jerk..." is not the makings of a political thread, then what is? Your logic completely eludes me. Please do not discuss politics. I get enough of it at work every day. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.
