Not trying to start the discussion up again...

But, why can't the forum rules be updated, as mentioned before from me - not everybody read every post with clearification, how many callories is to be used?

From forum rules:

Discussions within product-specific forums must relate to the product.  Please try to keep off-topic discussions in the appropriate forums.  Religious or political discussion specifically should be kept within the general discussion areas.

We are under a Forum Moderation Trial.  Once that trial is over, the rules will...or will not depending on the results of the trial...be updated.  I will admit that this has been a rather long trial, but things at invelos proceed at their own pace.

As to everybody not reading every post, I do understand your point...which is why some of us will point out threads that we believe fall into the temporary ban.

Edit: I guess I should have clicked on your link first.

In another forum I frequent there's a sticky thread about Political messages that explains that it's not allowed and the consequences if people disregard it.  Maybe Ken needs one like that here.

All the regulars here already know that these subjects aren't permited since march (it's not that hard to look the second announcement post in this exact sub-forum). I can understand the fact that a new member can start a political thread since it isn't wrote in the rules, but certainly not from long time members who are suppose to know better.

The board rules specifically say political discussion is allowed, so I can see how it would confuse people.

The new people sure, but all the veterans know that those subjects aren't permitted anymore. I agree that it will be better if Ken would written it in the rules.

I understand what you are saying, but AESP is correct.  All the regulars know that the moderation trial, and temporary rules, are in effect.

I suggest that all of us, veterans and newbies alike, review this announcement.

Specifically, to this thread, and the one it comments on, I highlight:

Quote:

- Political and Religious discussion is not allowed
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.
