| Posted: | | | | Hi movie-maniacs I just recieved my Spider-man 3 Blu-ray copy this morning from Amazon.co.uk (marketplace). But the movie doesn't have a barcode? Can somebody please explain to me why this is missing. It only says on the back cover, "Not for sale or rental" I know there's a good explanation for this, I just don't know the answer | | | A simple movie lover.. |

| Posted: | | | | Well, marcel's answer certainly sounds possible, or somebody decided to sell off their copy from the set, or there are also less honorable possibilities.

| Posted: | | | | Maybe it was a version bundled with hardware (LG sold their BluRay/HDDVD/DVD combo drive for PCs with "Spider-Man 3" for quite a time, but I don't know if it was just the Retail-version with EAN/UPC or not). |

| Posted: | | | | Its from the Blu-ray Box, I own the Blu-ray box and all 3 Blu-rays in it have this "Not for sale or rental" note on it.

I know in R2 UK it is quite common when media companies put multiple releases into a box set they remove the barcode and often replace with"Not to be sold separately". | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | I think you guys have it mixed up. I have the Japanese version but I would think the same applies to any locality: Spider-Man 3 from boxset: it has a barcode and no slipcover (all three movies are in a slipcase together) : Spider-Man 3 All Regions Released: 17/10/2007 Widescreen 2.40:1 Spider-Man 3 Promotional copy doesn't have a slipcover but it says the disc it not for sale nor rental (it says so in Japanese in this case on the back cover). This disc was handed out for free to customers who bought a PS3 or Vaio Notebook while this limited-time offer ran. It was actually my first blu-ray: Spider-Man 3: Promotional Copy All Regions Released: 2/10/2007 Widescreen 2.40:1 Check out the back covers on my links: Spider-Man 3 from boxsetSpider-Man 3 Promotional copyAs for how to submit online or enter the correct one in your local database, if you have a BD drive, you can use the disc-info instead of the UPC (that's what I did). Hope this answers your question | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies | | | Last edited: by Taro |
