| Posted: | | | | How many people own a player? If you do do you still buy HD DVD's? I do, in some cases I will buy them over the blu ray because they are cheaper. Ocasionlly they are even cheaper than the DVD. |

| Posted: | | | | I own two players (plus one in the computer). I have pretty much already bought everything I'm interested in though and it's getting harder to find dealers that offer a decent selection so my HD DVD buying days are almost over, save for the occasional web auction find. There are some rare titles I'd still like to have but they are usually too expensive compared to their Blu counterparts. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

The only one I can think of is HD Baiscs(not evrn a real movie). |

| Posted: | | | | looking over my own HD-DVD titles I see I have three that are not available on BluRay 1. Forbidden Planet 1956 2. The Pianist 2002 3. Monty Python's The Meaning of Life 1983
would these be considered rare ? .. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | I still have an HD DVD player and all my movies. But I no longer purchase any. I'd pay more for Blu-ray over HD DVD at this point if that was an option. Mainly because I know in a few year I could easily pick up a new Blu-ray player if I needed one, but an HD DVD player would be a lot harder to replace. So it will probably be cheaper in the long run. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

It was released, recalled, announced for re-release and finally cancelled but a few still made it to market. Some of the last Warner titles released like P.S. I Love You and August Rush. Some European and Japanese releases, like Band of Brothers. These are all hard to find on HD DVD so it's cheaper to get them on Blu-ray. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

These are all hard to find on HD DVD so it's cheaper to get them on Blu-ray. I tried to get T2 extended on HD-DVD some time ago, but no success, may be I din't look at the right places but the once I found from germany was overly priced anyway. maybe one of the rare? | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |

| Posted: | | | | I suppose you mean the German steelbook (all HD DVD editions are of the extended version, only the French includes both versions). It cost me €30 when released but for a while you could get it for around €10 when Amazon cleared their stock. That's when I bought one extra and sold it here for 530 SEK. I suppose it's sold out everywhere now so you would have to get lucky and find a second hand source that is willing to part with it. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Nexus the Sixth |

| Posted: | | | | I have several HD-DVD and many of them I will never replace/double dip with Blu-Ray because I just don't see the need!!! I feel the same with many of my DVDs. We were in Bestbuy earlier and I had $30 in reward zone certificates to spend along with some movie money and as we walked through the blu-ray aisles she kept picking out movies to buy and the majority of the films she grabbed I already owned on DVD and I just couldn't do the upgrade unless I found them under $15!!! I will pick up every new release (if I am interested) on Blu-Ray exclusively but I truly doubt I will upgrade many of the movies in my collection unless it is just one of the must have titles for me, such as: Alien Aliens Lord of Rings Trilogy Braveheart Gladiator Big Trouble in Little China Just a few examples of some upcoming Blu-Ray releases!!! | | | My Collection!!! | | | Last edited: by Calidain |
