| Posted: | | | | Hey Gang,
New here.
I collect mostly older movies, have a modest collection of about 300. Just learning the software. I am kind of digging it.
I thought I would come here and ask, where are good places or sources for buying the type of DVD's that I like to collect?
My usual places are:
Barnes & Noble Target Best Buy Costco Amazon (online) Movies Umlimited (online)
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

| Posted: | | | | Deep Discount is having a 25% off sale right now. They always have free shipping. One of the codes for the sale is: DVDTALK.
I've never had a problem with them...usually ship really quickly. | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Hello Larry, welcome to the asylum. I'm not quite sure if I can be of assistance with your quest for new sources (I live in Germany), but usually your local DVD Rental may have the stuff you're looking for. They sometimes buy complete private collections and resell them to their customers. And always a good source is http://www.dvdclassicscorner.net/ | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Lori, I already went to deepdiscount and ordered two DVD's and used the discount code. Seems like a nice and easy resource.
I have been missing Easter Parade from my collection of Judy Garland movies....and now its on the way. I also ordered The Band Wagon. I learned of it from DVDclassicscorners (Thanks Goblin).
Thanks All! |

| Posted: | | | | I should've said this first, but welcome! Glad you got some use out of the code...I've used it myself. Bought a few more than 2 though... If you find another one or two you want, there are multiple codes out there...check out the other deep discount thread for them, even, I think. And hey, if you're near a Big Lots, they're having tons of box sets for $3-$6 right now. | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Also try Big Lots for classic films, if you don't mind digging through their stacks. Nothing is organized, and you can't predict what they've got, but I've been able to pick up a lot of old classics from Warner there for $3 a piece.
For instance, recently I got David Copperfield, Pat and Mike, My Reptuation, Woman of the Year, East Side West Side, Wife Vs. Secretary, Ziegfeld Follies, Du Barry Was a Lady, and That's Entertainment
