| Posted: | | | | Today i picked up the Beetlejuice bluray at my local Target for $11.99. This will be my fourth copy of the film on dvd/bluray(i think i have a VHS copy too) I now have the bluray, 20th anniversary dvd, the re-release with the plastic keep case and the original dvd with the cardboard case that warner brothers movies used to come in. Just wondering if this seems insane and if anyone out there has a movie or several that they have purchased multiple copies. |

I think I have every version of Star Wars - VHS and DVD sets. Can't wait for Blu-Ray, and I just bought two copies of Turandot because I couldn't decide which version I liked better ... well I guess Turandot is not actually a movie ... And the move to Blu-Ray I'll bet has put a whole bunch of folks into the category of owning at least two copies of many of their favorites ... I wonder how many have the DVD, the HD and the Blu-Ray!!! | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

Some that come to mind: Jaws (VHS, Laserdisc, 2x DVD, waiting for Blu-ray), Dawn of the Dead (VHS< Laserdisc, DVD, Blu-ray), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Laserdisc, 2x DVD, Blu-ray) and I just know there's more. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | Well, I upgrade now and then: Good example is Frear's "The Hit": First bought the UK P&S, then the US widescreen and very soon I'll order the Criterion. Also: "In the Realm of Senses" (Criterion) replaced the R4 Madman yesterday. But two is tops, I think. |

| Posted: | | | | I have 4 versions of Serenity. The US disc, the Dutch R2 release (with 90minute Q&A), the HD-DVD, and the Blu-Ray.
Also have several versions of Terminator 2 (the dutch release, one US release and just ordered the BR endoskeleton pack). Three versions of Das Boot (the Uk superbit, the Dutch R2, and the UK complete versions).
I'm sure there are more but these come to mind

Just this part makes you insane, as the 2 discs I left in are identical except for packaging. So you are either insane or a collector/completest. Of course I have instances of this in my collection as well, like having the Halloween TV version solo disc despite having the LE set with the exact same disc inside it, and the Army of Darkness DC solo disc despite having the LE with the same disc. In my (week, grasping for straws) defense, they have different covers and the Halloween has a film cell, so I got em more for that. I guess you could say the snapper and keepcase are different, but they have the same art... Pretty much nayone who posts here probably has a dvd problem. |

My own collection is so tame compare to many of your. I have 2 versions of a handful of movies, mostly DVD/Blu-ray double dips. I've only ever had three versions of Serenity (original SE & Blu) and The Evil Dead (VHS, original DVD, Book of the Dead) and I gto rid of all but the Blu for Serenity. |
