| Posted: | | | | Has any one got any comments on the InterActual Player for the PC? I inserted Dreamcatcher in my PC's DVD drive and I was asked if I want to install the software. If I did so, it would become the default player for DVD's on my PC. |

| Posted: | | | | Many DVD's come with DVD player software installed. Since I already had player software, I ignored/canceled it.
One of the reasons why I disabled the autorun feature. |

| Posted: | | | | I have a few DVDs that used the older PC Friendly player and from what I remember it was mostly useless bloatware. |

| Posted: | | | | It's also wildly obsolete, a relic from the first days of DVD and DVDROMs when player software was fairly rare (and sometimes hardware based {looks at dusty box with retired Margi DVDtoGo kit}) and free options were few. I don't recall having seen an embedded player included on a DVD produced since around 2003...! Wouldn't recommend letting this install or run on any modern OS, these were originally written with Win NT/98/ME/2000 in mind and could potentially do ill to Vista or 7, or at least disrupt other playback apps installed. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for that. I don't usually install unknown software, so as I hadn't heard of this, I thought that I would ask.
