Sorry, but I have newbie questions...

1)  I tried searching the forums, but I could not find any information about finding information of total price paid, total srp, and total number of discs.  Anybody know how to do this?

2)  I also would like to run a report to see how much I've spent and how many titles I've purchase from every retailer.

3)  Can we see average dvd costs calculated for any group we specify?

4)  Can we add a tab to the Collection List window or change the tab names for "Ordered" and "Wish List"?

Thanks!

The program does not track DISCS.  So that one is a NO.

However, if you look for DVD Discount Report that will give you the other information you asked about. Run it at your own risk, I usually faint.

I think you can use Mark's DBQuery plugin to count discs, check out the plugin forum for more info.

We can't currently create custom tabs but this has been requested a few times so fingers crossed.

As for changing the names of the existing tabs, that is possible by editing the translation file in the options menu.  Bear in mind though that there are some limitations with using the ordered and wishlist tabs for owned titles, such as no collection numbers and no adding watched events if you get the mobile version.

Thanks for the help Jubal and MarEll!  I'll take a look at the report and plug-in and play around with it.

No kidding about fainting when I see the totals.... I have about 1500 titles and who knows how many discs.  Trying to catalog and organize (plus storage the keepcases) which will probably take a few months.  I have no desire to load everything in dvdaf as well just to see total discs.

May I suggest a thorough review of the this site, the help files and contribution rules.
Make saves after entering or updating your db. After entering a number of profiles and saving your db try
the various tabs on the screen and see what they do.
If you screw something up you can always restore the db.
I also suggest learning the use of tags if or plan to have a wide range of DVD types.
They can be used for things not track by the profiler.
Also as you read the forum mau wish to check out the db of others to see how they organize their bb,
noting that the online db does not include the personal data..

My plug-in (see my signature) will do 1, 2 and 3 if you tag things and use the right filters.
Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.

I will personally tell you that Mark's plug-in is a great tool.  I strongly suggest it.
