| Posted: | | | | The Texan box set has only 70 of the 78 or 79 episodes and little data on the DVD covers or discs. While scanning the Internet in trying to determine release dates of 70 episodes of The Texan, I ran across a bit of trivia about the shows star, Rory Calhoun that brought a smile.
“When Lita Baron, his first wife, sued for divorce, she named 79 women with whom he had allegedly committed adultery. Calhoun responded, "Heck, she didn't even include half of them".
I remembered in the late '60s, while on a trip to NASA to solve a computer problem, seeing ole Rory sitting at a booth in a bar in the Titusville, Florida motel where I was staying with a hot blond babe on each arm young enough to be his daughters. Jealous, you bet, that dirty old man, ha.
The '60s Arizona night life, I've saw a number of stars out on the town and not with their wives.
Also that Rory spent most of his life from 13 to 21 years in various jails and reform schools. When people tried to blackmail him about his past he brought out in the open himself. His agent, Alan Ladd's wife, traded this info to a tabloid to Rock Hudson love life quiet. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Ineptocracy, You got to love it. Reminds me a bit of former French president François Mitterrand, who was asked at a press conference if he had a mistress. Mitterrand's reply was "Et alors?" - which translates to "So what?". Sounds just a tiny bit different than "I did not have sex with that woman". | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |
