| Posted: | | | | I recently bought Futurama : The Beast with a Billion Backs dvd and noticed that it came in a regular keep case and had the upc # 02454352195280, this number in not in the database and I was wondering if this is a re release? Does anyone else have a matching UPC?

| Posted: | | | | as far as I know rereleases always have the same old UPC but differant scans . If the UPC is not listed it may very well be new or an uncontributed title . BTW is this a box set? maybe all the children are in the data base under its disc ID ?? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. I was wondering that, there is no indication on the disc itself, my local place puts a sticker on theirs, and the disc is pristine. My concern was if it was a bootleg, although the disc id matches the one in the current profile for the movie. Thanks B. |

| Posted: | | | | Sounds like it was re-released with a different cover and UPC. Sometimes discs from the same press are sent out in different packaging.
But if the Disc ID matches, it's most likely not a bootleg. Contributing it sounds like it would be pretty easy too - take the profile of the Disc ID, select "Change UPC" via the menu, and replace the Disc ID with the UPC. Then scan the covers if you have a scanner, verify the other info, and contribute. |

Thanks B. I'd now put this at 99% probability of being an ex-rental. I bought a bunch of discs from Hollywood whebn they were closing down and had to make new profiles for each UPC, but everyone the disc ID's matched the retail profiles in the program already. While these weren't different kinds of cases, I swear I've seen different cases at rental places. I still have a copy of Th13een Ghosts in a keepcase, with a legit keepcase cover (I can tell by the printing it's real, or someone went through a lot for a cheap dvd, I bought it used for a buck!) that doesn't even have a UPC or barcode or anything. All normal versions of this have been in snappers, I stilll haven't seen a non-snapper in a store, which I have for old New Line movies like Austin Powers and Blade. So the rental places get alternate keepcase covers for snapper discs (my Bloodwork is like this, although that shares the UPC with the snapper, just a keepcase cover instead), and most likely for anything different like the digi-packs Futurama movies come in. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks everyone for the replies I will have to see about submitting a new profile when I have the time to verify all of the data from the other UPC profile. Thanks B. |

| Posted: | | | | Not that it changes anything, but I was mixed up in my last post. Bloodwork doesn't have a barcode, Th13een Ghosts does. Hate posting wrong info, so I had to corret it. |
