| Posted: | | | | After witnessing the latest unchecked amok run of skipnet50/Dr. Pavlov/Woola/ Prof. Kingsfield in this thread, I have finally decided that I don't want to play here anymore. Frankly, it escapes me why a single user is allowed to continuously poison the atmosphere in these forums. Free speech is one thing, but that is more like letting a drunkard running around in a pub and permanently harassing the guests. I don't need that. If the owner is unwilling to take care of it, I go to another pub. It is as simple as that. My website goodguy's DVD Profiler Tools will remain active for a few weeks and I will provide means for existing customers of Profile Comparison Plus to get an updated version of the plugin once DVD Profiler 3.6 goes final. Bye. | | | Matthias |

| Posted: | | | | Matthias,
Very sorry to read this, your tools have been very useful!
As to your reasons, it has baffled me for years that Ken has never stepped in to ask this person to tone it down.
You will be missed.

| Posted: | | | | Matthias, you aren't the only one tired of him and his arrogance... To bad that because of him DVDP had lost a great plugin developper. At least you know another pub that is more fun and friendly |

| Posted: | | | | Matthias, Though I regret your decision, I fully understand it. You were one of the users who brought much to others with your tools, and you will be missed. But recent threads show clearly that moderators are not there to moderate the user you denounce, but to censor or ban anybody who dares to bring out his lies. Ken chose to overprotect him, and I fear things will never change. A big for your contribution to the program. | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | This forum has a block-feature. While some threads become unreadable I found it makes for a happier reading experience overall. Obviously that's a bit like sticking the head in the sand or, as Frank-N.Furter said, removing the symptoms but not the cause. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | Matthias, This is a sad sad day indeed. I wish you would reconsider this decision, but I understand your reasons. You will be greatly missed. If no-one has said it before I will say it now, Thank you for all your hard work and effort in making this a better place. | Posted: | | | | I totally understand Matthias and agree to what he said. It's the main reason that I don't even start to participate in this forums. In fact, I bought DVD-Profiler many years ago, but in the current situation I would not spend one dollar for the program because of what is happening in this forums. Dieter |

| Posted: | | | | Matthias, you've been a great contributor and I absolutely enjoy using your advanced tools for credit lookups & adaptations.
You will be a big loss to the community but on the other hand, I respect and understand the reason why you take this step. Unfortunately, you are one in so many that have left or stopped contributing for the same reason. | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

| Posted: | | | | Whilst Skip (or whatever he calls himself now) has never directly caused me any problems, I have felt that many of his comments were unwarrented. So I solved my angst by Blocking him! It's a shame, really, as he sometimes has valid and insightful comments, but I can tell you that since blocking him about 2 years ago my enjoyment of this forum has significantly improved. Why not give it a try yourself? It may make all the difference. |

I have no idea what i have ever done to you directly or indirectly. I will tell you that if you have me blocked, that is your issue, I block NO ONE, but neither will I srand for being attacked, nor will I apologize for being opinionated and willing to defend my opinions passionately. I am not averse to changing my opinions but it is not an easy thing to do, a user who wants to try better have his ducks all lined up in a row. Personally speaking, I find the blocking to be a childish response from someone who lacks the ability to present a logical argument or to stand up to someone who is willing to defend his beliefs and his opinions.
