| Posted: | | | | Month Long Horror/Halloween Marathon: 2009 Preparing for Tomorrow Morning... With Halloween being my all-time favorite holiday... I like to celebrate it all month long. So every year at this time I have a month long horror / Halloween marathon. Every year I try to beat my record of most horror movies, horror or Halloween episode TV Series and now Other (Shorts/Documentaries). Last year I did better then I ever have when I watched 100 Horror Movies, 45 TV Show Episodes & 2 Other. Will I be able to beat last year's record... I really don't know. To be honest I will be surprised if I do. But that is ok... as I plan to give it my all whether it is a win, loose or a draw! And no matter what happens I am going to have a great time!

I am thinking maybe watching Brotherhood of Blood what with my love of Vampire movies... Brotherhood of Blood Region 1 Released: 10/14/2008 Anamorphic 1.85 It stars Sid Heig, Ken Foree & Victoria Pratt ( Cleopatra 2525 & Mutant X) | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I'm going to be joining you in watching horror movies this coming month ... at least, after Ken Burns National Parks finishes airing. I haven't watched a lot of horror films, in fact almost all of the horror films in my collection will be new to me. (Ah, heck, most of my collection is stuff I haven't had a chance to watch yet.) I've seen enough horror to know what I like, and what I don't, but that's about it. So, as for myself, I will be starting with the classic Frankenstein with Boris Karloff. I intend for all of them to be ones I haven't seen before, except a couple Halloween favorites ( Nightmare Before Christmas & Corpse Bride). Won't get anywhere near your numbers, Pete, but I hope to get in at least 15. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | I'd like to say I too enjoy Halloween and the Fall weather! My wife and I start watching a lot of horror movies more than usual during this time. We will join you in our quest to watch a lot of the gore and action. A few I picked up to view are: Grace looked good and for 9 bucks wasn't bad. The Broken. We like the After Dark series. Plus I want to get a few more new After Dark Series. Plus all Three Supernatural seasons! And I would like to watch some oldies like The Wolfman and Frankenstein. I will say I won't beat your record, but I wish you well on breaking it! Here is a couple of websites for ya, After Dark Horrerfest; http://www.horrorfestonline.com Ghost House Underground; http://www.ghosthouseunderground.com/ I like keeping up with the new Horror movies. Anyway, Good Luck on your movie watching! |

| Posted: | | | | Season 4 of Supernatural is simply awesome.
No spoilers, but the season 3 ending cliffhanger - man, you can't come up with a better "oh crap how are they going to handle this" cliffhanger than that (assuming you have zero knowledge of season 4). |

The Broken is awesome, one of the better after dark movies. Frontier(s) is also another very good after dark movie. |

| Posted: | | | | Dr. K, my wife and I only watched half of the first season when I was schedualed to work nights. So I picked up seasons 1-3 at the local Walmart for 20 bucks each. Again we are half way through season 1, but we know its an awsume show. Wish they would make more like it! |

| Posted: | | | | Title: Brotherhood of Blood Movie Count: 1 TV Ep. Count: 0 Other Count: 0 Time Started: 12am Plot:Two horror legends reunite again. After the success of Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects, legendary actor Sid Haig (House of 1000 Corpses, Kill Bill 2) and horror icon Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead) team up again in Brotherhood of Blood, a claustrophobic thriller about a team of vampire hunters who must infiltrate a nest of the undead to save one of their own. My Thoughts:I decided to start my horror marathon with a vampire movie. As most people know I love vampire movies so picking one to start with shouldn't be a surprise. But at the same time I wanted to watch one I never seen before. And this one... even though it didn't have the highest of budgets has 3 stars I enjoy. Sid Haig, Ken Foree & Victoria Pratt. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this one as much as I was hoping to. It is only an average movie... maybe even slightly below average. I did like the stars of the movie.. and they did a good job with it. Unfortunately the script is what hurt this movie the most. The main idea of the storyline could have been good... but for some reason they constantly went back and forth with flashbacks throughout the movie. Which really served no purpose other then confusing you. And since when does Vampires use guns? I would have preferred a much more traditional vampire movie over this. My Rating: 2.5/5 | | | Pete |
