| | Posted: | | | | My youngest, Sydney, a sophomore at UCLA, will once again participate in the UCLA Dance Marathon on Valentines Day 2010. Everyone dances for 26 straight hours, after having raised money for various AIDS foundations (Project Kindle, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, OneHeartland), while not only DJ music plays, but they have live bands and motivational speakers. She is hoping to raise at least $500... $10 (or more) at a time. Her Dance Marathon page is here. I hope you can support her in this cause (as a number of you did last year), and that we can keep this thread on the front page from now to the marathon. | | Posted: | | | | She missed her last two finals: was sent home with H1N1. Yesterday, she finished her meds, and her temperature has returned to normal (104 before meds, 103 the first day, 101 subsequent days), so in the next day or two, she's returning to the ice rink to practice for this weekend's ice skating show at Sacramento's Iceland... two shows on Saturday, one on Sunday. I'll be operating a spotlight all three shows.

| | Posted: | | | | Yes, Sydney is my daughter, the youngest of my three children. I have two older kids from my first marriage, and my present wife and I have Syd, who is in her second year at UCLA. I am certain that she will participate in this next year as well. Last year they posted for anyone to see every contributor and their contributions. This year, they only give that information to each dancer.
