| Posted: | | | | After 15+ years petless, I finally got a new cat! His name is Crash and came from the Humane Society. He's 2 years old. And yes, he went for the dustiest, most difficult place to get to first...our fireplace box. | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks, you guys! So far, he's doing good. Crash loves catnip, we've discovered, along with cuddling under your chin. As for the gnomes, I'll be watching my back... Lol!
I think his name may refer more to his napping habits than his attraction to expensive objects. Well, I hope! Right now, he's exploring his new world. It's quite a lot bigger than his old home. He'd been at the shelter the second longest of any cat there...since last April. He got out of his carrior as was a bit overwhelmed like 'whoo... Space!' | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Congrats on the addition to your family! May he live long and prosper! (I unfortunately cannot see the pics here at the office so cannot comment on the cute factor but will make sure I log on at home to check him out properly and provide all the appropriate superlatives!) | | | <---------Mithrandir, Laverne and Shirley Caroline |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks! So far, he's still doing good. He's very well mannered...the only thing he's jumped on that he wasn't supposed to was our computer desk...managed to get from the floor, to the desk, to the top of the printer! I'm not sure who was more shocked, him or my mother who was sitting there!
It was so cute...tonight he was running around playing with some of his toys...he got on the couch and started poking his head above the couch like a jack-in-the-box. | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | A cat is a great addition to anyone who likes them. We have 4, and at the moment have 6 in our household due to our son having some major work done on his house. During our 38 years of marriage we have never been without at least 2 cats. We have had dogs twice during the same time but have found it too wrenching when they die, so stand offish cats are our thing. | | | Graham |

| Posted: | | | | My last pet was a beagle...It was really hard when she died. Though, I was just as sad when my sister's cat passed away as well...they just become part of the family. I think I'd feel the same way no matter what...but I do think life is a bit empty without some sort of pet companionship. I think it's the unconditional love...the 'you're sad? Okay, let me cuddle you,' type thing. | | | Lori |
